Interview with Thrash Or Die

MMP -At what age did you start playing music.
Thrash Or Die - Music?! What's that?! HAHA! 11 years old, I used to see this Death Metal band from Florida called Acrimonium rehearse and my only adult friend who I had back then (who played in the band) gave me a B.C. Rich guitar At the time I was really really into Death Metal (and still am) I was trying my hardest to play really fast and do crazy Kerry King/Rick Rozz/Trey/Hoffman brothers type solos. I've always worshiped the solos from the 1st Deicide album, Always!

MMP -How did you start out as a musician.
Thrash Or Die - I really never considered myself as a "musician" not back then and even less now. I never cared for learning Theory and being technical. I like speed and fast changes, I would consider myself a headbanger who plays guitar

MMP -What bands are you influenced by.
Thrash Or Die -SOOOOOOo Many! VENOM! CELTIC FROST! As Far as Thrash the European Stuff like Sodom, Destruction, etc. American: Atrophy, Devastation (from Illionis), HELLWITCH!!!!!!!!!! Megadeath, Carnivore, Slayer, Metallica (old of course)  I was really inspired by early Deicide, Impaled Nazarene is HUGE for me, Mercyful Fate, Morbid Angel, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath. In my 20s I really got into Eastern European bands, ALSO Polish bands like KAT, Dragon, also Czech, Ukraine, and Hungarian bands too! Pokolgep, Ossian HAHA! Good stuff! That's me, the other guys listen to different stuff, but we all pretty much like the same old school heavy metal bands, Priest, Sabbath, etc. Thrash etc. of course...

MMP -What year did the band start out.
Thrash Or Die - 2007, It was Ralph (Dr. Fukk) and I. I thought we were just joking around...and I think we were HAHA! We got together with some local musicians to record a demo for Wake up and smell the Thrash. I thought it was just going to be something to show our friends, but Ralph had a vision since day one to make a REAL crazy thrash band.

MMP -How many albums do you have out & where can fans buy them.
Thrash Or Die - Only one, Poser Holocaust, it can be purchased on our facebook page, and really anywhere, Itunes, cd baby, etc. Its all over the place

MMP -Who all is in the band & plays what.
Thrash Or Die - I play guitar, Ralph (dr.fukk) vocals who is a true maniac, The other three current members are in Soltice, We have Ryan Talor (nightcrawler) on guitar who is the most insane teenager I've ever met, amazing guitar player, the Mighty Alex Marquez from Malevolent Creation, Soltice of course, Ex-Hellwitch, Ex-ressurrection, Ex-Demolition Hammer, Ex- everything the guy has been in 1,000 bands and was one of my favorite Death Metal Drummers of all time, and we have Josh (Mosh HAHA) Our new bass player who is really great at what he does!

MMP -Where is the band located.
Thrash Or Die -Miami, Florida

MMP -What bands would you like to tour with.
Thrash Or Die -Anyone cool!

MMP -Is there anything you'd like to say to the fans out there.
Thrash Or Die -YES! THEY ARE GODS AND THE REASON THIS BAND WILL NEVER DIE!!! Thanks for the support, and THRASH TIL DEATH!

MMP -Define your band in one tweet (140 characters)
Thrash Or Die -THRASH METAL FROM MIAMI FLORIDA, NO ADDED TECHNICAL OR MELODIC INFULENCES JUST 100% THRASH

MMP -Whats is the current status of the band from a musical standpoint and why the audiene should give a chance to listening to
Thrash Or Die -We Thrash, That's about it, IF audience doesn't want to thrash, They can DIE! THRASH OR DIE!

MMP -How important are the lyrics, tell us the lyrical concept behind the music
Thrash Or Die -Lyrics are always important in my opinion, with us we have like only 1 serious song "Fatal Fury which is about leading a reckless lifestyle. All of our other songs are about killing posers, fist fucking, Monsters, A shark, nothing that has to do with anything, but it's all written with a lot of humor and aggression. We stay FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR away from politics, people are way to sensitive for that, we agrred from the beginning that we would never do it, plus no one really cares what bands have to say anyway HAHAHA!

Interview With Aura Noir

MMP-At what age did you start playing music.
AuraNoir- I think I was around 11 years old or so when I started playing instruments. The first years I was practising on my fathers acoustic guitar, then after a while I got my first electric guitar and an amp. A close to legendary 10 watt BOSS amp that went from friend to friend back in the early 90s...

MMP- How did you start out as a musicia.
AuraNoir-Where I grew up, Fosser ( a small village 60 km from Oslo) it was a handful of people listening to metal. 1 of the guys there played drums in a local Heavy Metal band and over the course of time we started talking and he borrowed me a lot of music, mainly Speed & Thrash metal, something we both enjoyed. In between his sessions with his band we started playing together, mostly doing cover songs of diverse Thrash & Death metal bands until we gathered our own ideas for a band. So from there onb we formed a band called Testimony (from "Testimony Of The Ancients" by Pestilence) and started writing on doing small local shows around...that was the start. This could have been back in 1988 or so I guess.

MMP- What bands are you influenced by.
AuraNoir- In the early beginning it was all about Metallica, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Slayer etc.

MMP- What year did the band start out.
AuraNoir-  Aura Noir started out in 1992 or 1993 I guess.

MMP- How many albums do you have out & where can fans buy them.

Interview With Gruesome

MMP-At what age did you start playing music?
Gruesome-My brother and I both got ONE guitar to share when we were about 9 or 10 ten years old. After we got kind of good on guitar we decided that one of us should play drums so we could start a band. I befriended a kid in school named Chris whom I heard had a drumset and I went over to his house and immediately fell in love with the instrument! I think I was about 12yrs old then...

MMP-How did you start out as a musician ?
Gruesom-At first I taught myself songs on guitar, learning them by ear. I took a few guitar lessons, but once I learned to tune and some chords I was on my way. Then on drums I was self taught for about 5yrs until I met Dave Culross...once I saw him play I asked him for lessons. After he went back to New York, I very fortunately met Sean Reinert and continued studies with him until he moved to Los Angeles. But from those lessons I was able to watch the old VHS drum instructional videos and understand everything enough to further my skills on my own.

MMP-What bands are you influenced by?
Gruesome- In metal I'd say mostly Slayer, Death, Kreator, and Dark Angel. But I am also influenced heavily outside of metal too! I listen to many different styles of music and take bits and pieces from each one.

MMP-What year did the band start out?
Well my new band is called Gruesome and we put it together just this year
MMP-How many albums do you have out & where can fans buy them?
Gruesome-We just finished our debut album called "Savage Land" and it will be released early next year through Relapse Records

MMP -Who all is in the band & plays what?
Gruesome-Where is the band located? The band features Matt Harvey (Exhumed) on guitar/vocals, Daniel Gonzalez (Possessed) on guitar and Robin Mazen (Derketta) on bass. I guess we're bi-coastal with 3 of us in Florida and Matt in California
MMP-What bands would you like to tour with?
Gruesome-Old school death metal bands like Deicide, Obituary, Massacre, Bolt Thrower, etc
MMP-Is there anything you'd like to say to the fans out there?
Gruesome-Well, thanks for the support and don't believe everything you read!! Be sure to check out my new band Gruesome...if you are a fan of the first 3 DEATH albums, you are going to LOVE this band!!

MMP- tell us how can fans get your music?
